Carol Ann Duffy is a recipient of National Poetry Competition Prize, Eric Gregory Award, Scottish Arts Council Book Award, Somerset Maugham Award, Dylan Thomas Prize, Scottish Arts Council Book Award, Cholmondeley Award, Whitbread Awards, Scottish Arts Council Book Award, Forward Prize, Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), Lannan Award, Signal Children's Poetry Prize, National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts Award, Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), T S Eliot Prize, and Costa Book Awards. She is about to be awarded the 2012 Pen Pinter Prize. She holds honorary doctorates from the University of Dundee, the University of Hull, the University of St Andrews, and the University of Warwick, and an Honorary Fellowship at Homerton College, Cambridge.
